Natasha Ryan was 14 years old when she went missing from Rockhampton in 1998. Both Natasha's parents attended the wedding, but her father claimed he did not know where they were headed for the honeymoon. They found Ryan, then 18, cowering in a cupboard, where she would routinely hide whenever someone came to the house. After a tip-off, police discovered her in a wardrobe at Mr Black's home in Rockhampton, a mile from her family home. This sentence was for perjury after telling the police that he knew nothing about Natashas whereabouts.
